Step by Step on How to Make a Mezcal Mule Drink

Tips to Perfect your Mezcal Mule

  • Chill Your Glass (optional but recommended): Start by placing a copper mule mug or a highball glass in the freezer for a few minutes to chill.
  • Add Ice: Once your glass is nicely chilled, fill it with ice cubes.
  • Pour Mezcal: Measure out 2 ounces of Mezcal using a jigger or measuring cup.
  • Squeeze Lime Juice: Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the glass. Adjust the amount to your taste, we recommend using ½ ounces.
  • Sweeten (Optional): If you like your Mezcal Mule a bit sweeter, add 1/2 ounce of simple syrup or agave nectar to the mix. Stir well to incorporate the sweetness.
  • Top with Ginger Beer: Fill the glass with ginger beer, leaving a little room at the top for the garnish.  The amount of ginger beer you use can vary depending on your preference for sweetness, we recommend 4-6 ounces of ginger beer.
  • Stir Gently: Use a mixing spoon stir the ingredients together.
  • Garnish: Add a lime wedge as a garnish. You can also use a lime wheel or a twist of lime peel for an extra touch of citrus aroma.
  • Enjoy! Your Mezcal Mule is now ready to be enjoyed! Serve it immediately while it’s cold, and savor the smoky, citrusy, and slightly spicy flavors.
